Please allow me to introduce myself as Mr Dim AKA the Guardian of the MARY CHING Stiletto. I’m considered to be a bit of a dude if I may say so myself. And, if I were human, I’d most likely be Al Pacino. We’re similar in age you see. I’m 12 years old in dog years which makes me close to his age. If it was up to me, I’d play him in Scarface holding the cigar. You see, I enjoy the finer things in life. Not to mention I have a younger wife in London called Marmite.
Now let’s start with my name. Born in Shanghai, my mum is the infamous Ms Ching. I was her birthday present from two of her closest friends. What good taste and serendipity they had in finding me. I am loyal and loving as ever and to this day. As it turns out, she loves eating food from all over the world and decided to name me after her favourite dish! That’s right Dim Sum.
I’m lucky to have her in my life as she is so much fun and so creative. She taught me to walk without a lead and showed me how to make new friends in the park. I also model for her for magazine shoots and you’ll see me in The Great Wall of MARY CHING. The ladies say I am very handsome and photogenic so I’ve been told.
As a young man, my mum took me to high-level meetings and I accompanied her to the design studio every day. As top dog seat in the house. I was the boss let me tell you and I watched over everything that was going on.
