“I have always had a fascination with shoes and accessories – anything to give a girl a boost in confidence with colour and style! The brand is a reflection of my upbringing of being Eurasian and growing up all around the world. I wanted to showcase the playfulness and versatility of the brand. This crisis has shown us that even though we are not going out like we used to, showing up and looking great for yourself is never out of fashion” says founder Alison Mary Ching Yeung.
Alison, a graduate of Central Saint Martin’s Design School in London, had experience at the Fashion department of Sotheby’s and Vogue UK before she started her Iconic shoe brand in Shanghai in 2009, catering to a fashion forward, young, sophisticated clientele of trend setters. Starting her own fashion brand at 26, she achieved tremendous success, including being collected in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
